[Hudlug] linux computers in the uk

I know this is a bit soon what with both my laptop and desktop computers 
being fairly new but what places would you suggest for Linux hardware in 
the UK?
I read an article in Tucs about Linux computers on places where to buy 
Linux supporting hardware only the article has an American Bias.
My sister didn't seem to understand that it is the hardware and not 
really as much memory requirements so I was quite lucky my Compaq worked 
with Linux from the word go when Ubuntu was installed on it and the 
wireless card I later bought worked as well.
