[Lancaster] Folly Terminals are go!

Terminals are go, but we still haven't addressed the server setup.

Any thoughts? I'm willing to put in time on this one, provided I get
some help/directions.

Should we modify the existing setup or start from scratch with a minimum
install from a recent (2.6.x kernel, etc) distro? This could be done on
a second hard drive, keeping the original drive in reserve as it is.
Shall I make a start on this at home and then swap the drives on the server?

As most of you will know, I've been experimenting with 'remote X' and
also a little with DHCP. I could set these up along with other
applications deemed necessary, then more serious aspects of
networking/firewalling/ internet access, etc could be sorted on site by
one of the gurus.

Comments please.
