[Lancaster] GIMP colour & [Re: SAMBA Problem]

Richard,

Have now downloaded, compiled, installed and run 'cinepaint'. Clearly 
this is based on 'gimp', but somehow seems a lot snappier. Still a few 
bugs, but for a 0.18 release is impressive, especially as it can handle 
16 and 32 bit colour formats.

Unfortunately, I can't get the gimp RAW plugin to work under cinepaint 
(via cinepainttool instead of gimptool) so I'm still stuck with 8 bit 
tif or jpg files, or 8 bit translated files under gimp.

I will stick with cinepaint and investigate further. It does look promising.
