[Lancaster] Last night's meeting

I did mention how much hacman were charging, but I think we all agreed
it would be better to have more members paying less, than putting people
off with a high price. Hacman do have a starving hacker fee, but you've
got to beg for that.

I've just had a bit of a discussion on the main hackspace mailing list
about health and safety, and most people seem to think its not that much
of an issue. Maybe a couple of 100 quid a year for public liability.
Infact, someone mentioned that if we can show ourselves to be 'artists',
we can get it for 36 quid a year! Basically, because theres no actual
employees at a hackspace, then you don't have to worry about major
insurance. Of course we may have to look at content insurance and such
like, in case of theft. CCTV may have to be installed, as well as access
cards, etc.

As far as more detailed health and safety, I think we mentioned on
wednesday that we'd like training for people before they use the big
(dangerous) tools, and that they wouldn't be able to use them until
they'd had the training.

Nice article btw, Simon. :) As much as I hate H&S, I think we would need
to ensure that we don't make any massive faux pas. Adequate venting, etc.
