Hello to everyone on the Linux Jobs list!

I cannot help but notice the advice being given the past few days to prospective employers from members here.

Sirius have a few vacancies in our UK business that we would like to post here in the not-too-distant-future™, and I am keen that we do not accidentally or inadvertently violate any list norms or customs. We always want to do our best to be great community members wherever we go, so I am asking for help in advance...

Is there a FAQ or general advice page for prospective employers anywhere that we can look at?

If not, any chance we could have a short, but valuable, thread here to collect some helpful hints to be a good linuxjobs citizen?

I think I have a few 'starters for 10’ already:

    • Indicative Salary range
    • Reply to sender, not list
    • No Top posting

If it helps, and if relevant, Sirius UK will be posting vacancies for:

    • Helpdesk Operator (Junior/Entry-level Position)
    • Linux / F/L/OSS Engineer (Mid-level to Senior)
    • DevOps (Linux / F/L/OSS) Engineer (Mid-level to Senior)

Best wishes to all, and looking forward to a constructive conversation!

Mark
