[Liverpool] Place to drink

Why don't we approach the Roscoe Arms, and see if we can book it once a
month. We had a good time there a few weeks ago and I noticed they liad on
a room and provided some food for the cribbage night which the LUG duly
scoffed. It is a snall, nice friendly pub, near the News from nowhere place
and could become a regular haunt. I don't live in Liverpool but go to visit
my brothers there often and would be willling to sound them out on this next
time I am in town and let you know the outcome.
Also, I think the pressure of having a full blown presentation, although
interesting and welcome when they come about is great but we should be able
to come up for with talking points on the massive area of open source
software for when no presentations are scheduled. We could argue loads of
points, all we need is someone to raise a debating area e.g Are Microsoft a
scum sucking bastard of an organisation? to get the juices flowing. I would
welcome some constructive criticism to add to my armoury (I have just
converted my brother to open source software after the years of
disappointment suffered at the hands of Micro$oft. He didn't know there was
an alternative until I tutored him in the arts of freedom.
Lets do it.
See you all at the next LUG. Also, I didn't get the job I went for as they
were still struggling with micros$hit did not see any need to change
(peasants) so if anyone knows of any purely Linux jobs going let me know,
