Hello everybody

I'm one of the organisers of Liverpool DoES Startups. It's a
bootstrapped startup weekend that we're hoping to be the first of many
around the region.

A brilliant opportunity to bang heads together with other people who
want to create something amazing. Be the change you want to see in the
world and come along and play with others in the sandpit of turning
seemingly impossible ideas, into amazing adventures.

The summary of what we hope attendees will leave the weekend with is:

  * Realising business isn’t hard to do as long as you have understood
    your market and goals.
  * Able to pitch an idea.
  * Able to do some research – going out of the building into Liverpool
1 and asking people about the product (only 100 metres from DoES) or
    web–based if appropriate.
  * Understand why and how to pivot an idea, and explore many options.
  * Knowing what a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is and why it means you
can really get to a workable business model without bankrupting
yourself, plus being much more convincing when you look for funding.
  * Able to test their model with real people.

The main site is here: http://liverpool.startupbunker.co.uk and the
programme is at http://liverpool.startupbunker.co.uk/?page_id=47

Eventbrite tickets are here: http://livdoesstartups.eventbrite.co.uk/

If you can't make it but know someone who can and would benefit from
this, please share it with them.

And (of course) anyone who would like to help with sponsorship is more
than welcome.

Thanks and regards,

Francis
