Hi

I've been lurking for a while as I'm moving to the Malvern/Worcs area
in about 6 weeks. I thought it wouldn't hurt to provide a quick
introduction:

I currently run a web development firm in East London which I am in
the process of exiting as my wife and I want to bring up our kids in
an area where they are less likely to get shot when they start school.
To pay the rent I shall be setting up as a one-man-band
consultancy/freelancer and my skills are PHP/MySQL plus the techie
side of the web front-end with 8 years of professional experience to
back me up.

I *love* Debian and feel very comfortable using it in a web and file
server context although I have not ran Linux as my desktop for about 4
years (I am currently downloading Ubuntu, though) . Before running my
own company I was a developer and finally a sys admin for a web dev
firm in Fulham. I spent about 18 months looking after a rack of
Slowaris, FreeBSD and Redhat machines and I only tell you this as
looking after all of these machines in differing forms of decay firmed
up resolve to only use Debian moving forward due to the magic that is
apt.

That's about it really except to say that if anyone knows of houses to
let, ideally in the Ledbury/Malvern/Upton upon Severn area then I'd
also be V interested to hear about it although obviously we are
already searching all of the buying/letting portals too.
