That's the difference from the PC side - the audio way is purely about
sound quality, isolating anything that interferes with the power
supply, and hence the quality of reproduction.

The power supply in an amplifier (or CD player, or turntable with
DC motor) is the best that can be managed for the product's price
point - there's no room for a one-size-fits-all PC-like approach.
