I try not to store hard copies of general information documents (like 
man pages ),
but to look them up as required on another nearby machine.

Some more specialist ones I print out and file them in folders (if they 
are not too big !).

I keep a list of URLs to good sites,  and in a notebook I keep a list of 
"good packages to install"  and
good (i.e. useful)  CLI commands.

I also retain useful, informative e-mails,  classified in "topic"  
folders of  Icedove.

That's about it !
