Folks,

A sensationalised story with quite a mixed message from the incorrigible
ElReg:

#####
Berners-Lee says snoop law could see spies blackmail soldiers
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/01/29/tim_berners_lee_web_snoop_law_dangerous/

We know what you browsed, now hand over state secrets or we tell
#####

Very obvious security concerns there:

#####
Berners-Lee said he is not aware of any nation that has created the
first agency successfully, never mind the second, and that web snooping
is therefore “massively dangerous and a bad idea.”
#####

What of Google, advertising trackers, and such as various 'credit
rating' companies?...

Other good comments are:

#####
... Berners-Lee also offered an interesting taxonomy of computer users,
namely geeks, the connected and the disconnected. ...

... Berners-Lee said “it is your duty as a geek to innovate.” ...
#####

Indeed, Go For It! :-)

Especially over a few beers tomorrow (Wednesday) ;-)

Cheers,
Martin
