Derek,

I will not be able to attend the meeting next week as I am in hospital. However, I would like to offer the following contribution to the meeting;

The problem that we have with Arun u3a is that we are costing them too much. We therefore need to get some figures to find out how much we are costing them. We should then obtain a costing for each of the alternative options and make a comparison.

For example, if you assume the current venue costs £10 an hour, then we will be charged a minimum of £30. If 8 people attend a meeting, then we have £16 to pay for this - approx. 50%.

Alternative options are;
 (a) reduce meeting to 2 hours or less.
(b) find a lower cost venue.

I hope this helps.

Jack
