Hello!
Some of you may remember a few months ago i asked some stuff about
networking... I've started reading the networking howto i was pointed
to, so far so good, and have been thinking about what I'd idealy like.
So... I have at least one MacOSX and one XP box in my house along with
my Linux box, which I'm planning to run on debian. The debian box is to
serve the house's computers including whatever my other housemates
bring.
I want it to;
	1) Act as a network hard disk - it's got an 80Gb and a 40Gb hard disk
in,
  	2) Be the house's port to the internet - I'm about to get Broadband,
	3) Be a game server - you know the deal- Quake and Doom across a
network....
	4) Be a hard disk recorder f' telly' , (well it'd be nice)
	5) Serve my web page!

Firstly is it possible? (without spending buckets of money!) have at
least till September to work on it. The last two items aren't so
important, it'd be nice if it could do them though.
If it is possible what can I go and RTFM to find out how? I currently
have the Linux cookbook - all things Debian, that networking how-to,
and UNIX for Dummies. I'm slowly getting through them, it may take some
time.
Any Tips you know would obviously be welcome. Oh It may also be useful
for you to know what my puter's made of...
AMD 1800XP,
256Mb DDR(i think) RAM,
ethernet card,
modem (i know i'm going to have to get a broadband one... )
ATI 9200 Radeon +128Mb RAM,
TV Card
CDRW,
DVD,
audigy platinum,
I realize a lot of those are general, If you need specifics in any of
them just ask.

cheers in advance for the help

mark
