I never really liked KDE, looks wise anyway but it always seemed to
have the upper hand on the technical side of things. Now, though, I
think that Gnome is a pretty fair match. The interface is gorgeous,
it's not as clunky as it used to be and it integrates far better with
the operating system and other apps.

Unfortunately, my laptop makes it pretty much impossible to use Linux
due to the abysmally poor power managemen support. Soon as they sort
it though, Gnome here I come!
