It's very simple and all controlled via the YAST GUI. Furthermore all
dependecies are taken care of and it's very stright forward. Perhaps you
should show Lucy how to install packages via YAST as I am sure she will
want to add extra packages to her system at some point.

It's going fairly slowly at the moment due to lack of time and other
personal factors (for both Al and myself). Also two other people were
involved in forming the LUG namely Fintan and Dave so I should mention
them also otherwise they may leave; I know they read the SLUG list
basically :)

As for being 'better'. Well we don't intend to try and 'out do' any other
LUG. I would hope that all the LUG's could work as one promoting Linux and
what it has to offer. I'm sure you'll agree :)

Incidentally the main reason for a spin off LUG was (mainly) not having to
travel as far to meetings thus saving time (and the environment).
Furthermore I personally struggled to get back from work, have tea and get
to Scarborough for 7:30pm and usually ended up missing tea (or
alternatively speeding). Finally there is plenty of interest in the
Ryedale area without taking any value (or persons) away from SLUG.

Regards,
Paul.
