yes, the only thing I'm not sure about is whether you can use 3d applications in the same way. I'm going to give it a go later tonight and see if it's doable. If it is then it's another thing Linux can do that Windows can't (Linden Lab have confirmed that Second life does not work with current Windows visual aid software). My current net-based research suggests it should work.
