Hi

For servers I agree with just keeping up with security updates - and debian is 
my first choice for a server.

For my desktop and laptop machines though, nothing beats the warm fuzzy 
feeling of doing:

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade 
or 
urpmi.update -a && urpmi --auto-select 

and watching the latest package versions rolling in. Sure my installations 
break sometimes, but I think it is a fair trade off for having my finger on 
the pulse of linux :-)
