Interesting - I thought (not having done the research) that 
they were all USB?

Which one did you get?

ATM I've got a BT-provided router (that was the only way to 
go at the time) but for various reasons which are too boring 
to go into here I might be changing ISP in the near future, 
so I need to get a transceiver (router / modem) of my own.
