People.....

My Debian experience is growing.. but....

When ever I do an NFS mount it takes ages.. And I get this message

Mar 12 21:43:46 lotus kernel: portmap: server localhost not responding,
timed out

Now when I had this on my Gentoo box I had to start portmap from
/etc/init.d but it isn't there!

If you wait 5 mins to mount does happen.. So what am I doing wrong?

PS. The kernel build now supports my LSI raid controller.... I now have
my 300gb disk working!
