Unfortunately you don't have any choice in the matter. Most ( maybe all) 
ISP's have now instituted monitoring their customers for open relays, but 
in the current situation they cannot trap those customers who have been 
taken over.  This requires centralised co-ordination like that provided by 
spamcop and a huge amount of effort (which nobody is willing to pay for) 
to clean up the mess.
