[sclug] Kismet on Ubuntu

Managed to fix this problem;

I reinstalled Ubuntu and edited the apt sources file by hand, adding
multiverse, ran an update, and ran into the same problem.

Then loaded up Synapse, modified the apt sources, updated, and it installed
fine. Compared the "synaped" apt sources file to mine and they were
identical (minus the odd extra line break). A little confused as to why
doing it through synapse worked fine but nano'ing the sources file and
aptitude update didn't.

Oh well, its all working now, so I'm a happy chappy. Even got pptpconfig to
work (seems synapse route worked again), so didn't need to setup the VPN
client by hand this time around.

Now to go configure Evolution and the rest of the jubbins. Oh, is there an
easy way to get firefox functioning on the linux laptop exactly as it does
on the windows desktop? Extensions and preferences and so forth?

: Post the grep'd output of dpkg -l (for kismet, libgmp3 &
: ethereal-common).
