Well, it worked!  I had to find a new root image as the 3900 series uses a different image from the others, but It worked and I got in!

For a while it was fine, I had OPIE, and it really _is_ very good! but...

Then it just gave up and went dark I think the battery died, but now I cant get it back.  Is there any kind of reboot process or should it come back as I left it when the battery is recharged?
