Re: the events stuff. I am looking into some less technical conferences
where we can push linux/gnome on people as I feel that this is where the
difference can really be made.

Most the questions I handled on Saturday were from non-techies and they
seemed impressed to a degree. Tech types have generally made a choice of os
and can tell you why they chose it.

Getting some windoze users educated is a real next move, don't you think?

Let me know if I am way off the mark on this one...

On BLUG, I'll keep trying to make a meeting but my strange 'unschedule'
makes it hard to fit in time for stuff at weekends.
I've really been wanting to bring down my collection of DVB tuners that I
told tony and les about for you to look at!

I agree with Tony about bars. I've had a few meetings at bars in the past
but the noise is an issue and the seating arrangements don't tend to lend
themselves to larger groups of people. You end up with fragmented
discussions.

Hi Guys

I won't be there this week, I have an appointment at a field in Bakewell!!!!
Tell you about it next week.

It would be good to meet up with the Preston LUG, I suggest that if we host
we have it at Rippon Road if we can I know there is a space issue but I
always find meeting in a pub means you it's difficult to talk over the
background noise, unless anyone knows of a place with a meeting room we
could use.

I'll bring the 3G router to the meeting next week as I know Les wanted a
look. Have a good meeting

Tony
