Hi Jon,
These WIKI pages contain some useful information about the file systems that can be used.

Having coped with only 20GB in my MythTV box for several weeks, and with
mounting interest (demands) from the family, I have now got a 120GB disk
I want to install in place of the small one.
Clearly, I want to avoid having to redo any of the work done in getting
the box into its current state, so am planning to clone the existing
drive using dd, e.g. dd if=<source> of=<target>.
What happens to the extra space on the larger disk? Is it effectively
left un-partitioned?
How long should cloning a 20GB disk take? (it's currently about 75%
full)
Any suggestions before I do the deed?
Cheers,
Jon
