Just found this in Forum ~ do you think it will work on my laptop or do I risk causing more problems?

Please can someone tell me whether or not to take the plunge & attempt it?

			Okay, I found the solution online. I'll leave it here in case anyone else gets the same problem:

Code: Select allsudo rm -r /var/lib/apt/lists
sudo mkdir -p /var/lib/apt/lists/partial
sudo aptitude update
