[Blackpool] ubuntu on EEE PC901

Hi
  I wonder if anyone has a recovery cd for an EEE PC 901, or if 
anyone has put UBUNTU onto the D drive of one, they have two seperate 
SSDs, C is 4GB & too small for 14.04 & D whilst being 8Gb is said to be 
"slower" than the 4Gb one. Any help gratefully received.
