[Blackpool] CX919 Android TV stick

Hi all,

Thanks for the responses.

That's disappointing about the performance, Les. As it's the same price
point as the Chromecast, I thought it could potentially be a better
alternative.

David - the DLNA TVs can access Plex, but the performance and UI of the
smart TVs we've got - particularly the Samsung ones - is abysmal, hence
wanting to find something that could respond to key presses in less than
ten seconds and can list media items clearly and cleanly.

A Roku would be nice, but I'm on a shoestring budget for Christmas, I'm
afraid. Even the Chromecast or CX919 is pushing it! I think what puts me
off the Chromecast is the requirement for an Android device for it to
mirror, but I should have picked one up when it was £18 at Tesco. Ah well.
Will be interested to know how it performs with Plex, anyway.

Thanks,
James

Best wishes,
James
