What you
need to know :
This is a two day event, each day has a line up of 5 speakers with
experience and expertise in futures, makespaces, manufacturing, digital
tools, platforms and services.

   - 23rd, 24th January
   - V&A museum, London
   - Free, including lunch
   - RCUK eligible orgs, makerspaces, manufacturers, software developers,
   designers, researchers and others interested in the topic

Each day will be a mix of talks and activities, coffee breaks and lunch,
with plenty of time to network with speakers and participants including an
evening gathering on the Saturday night nearby.

This event is associated with a research call for 25k

collaborative projects that test an approach to redistributed manufacturing
and digital tools, platforms and cultures with makespaces.

Study proposals must include a RCUK eligible organisation (usually a
university) to receive the funds and we strongly favour collaborations with
makespaces or manufacturers, or at this level hardware or software
developers.

 travelled to the Bay Area to attend MakerCon and Maker Faire. While there
he was looking for weak signals from the future of making, for if there was
ever a place where the future is more heavily distributed, it’s the Bay
Area.
