Hi David and all,

I will apologise now for my non attendance as work and also still having
an Ubuntu todo list for 8.10's release on Thursday and fixes to prepare
for 8.04.x to complete will prevent me from coming this time.

Would it be possible for someone to take minutes of the meeting and
maybe post to the list in say a bullet point format of what has been
discussed for further discussion on the list?

New Venue
=========

To keep meeting away from public houses, do we have a member who works
for or is strongly affiliated with Bradford College or Uni that maybe
able to help us out?

Linux in Business
=================

An interesting subject I will love to see and contribute into that
conversation.

Ubuntu 8.10
===========

A post LTS release and an improvement in some areas but not in others.
For all those requiring a stable production system I would stick with
8.04.x. Those wanting the latest and greatest it will be a nice release
to look at and use.

Install Fest
============

This is a good promotion activity for the group with some key areas to
discuss.

* Location
* Day and times (maybe work on a 3 month timescale to organise)
* Possible sponsor(s)
* Distros to be used.
* How to split it up into desks (install, help etc.)

Plus many more... :-)

Regards

Phil
