You might want to look at http://nakedcomputers.org/ for a start their main goal
is to provide "naked" machines in the sense that you need not bother about
getting your money back for proprietary OSes installed on the box.

And it would be nice to have a handy list of companies offering Linux OS based
pcs as a reference on the LUG page. Eg: http://www.dell.co.uk/ubuntu.
