Traffic on the internet is not equal never has been. 
There's peering direct peering CDN and all kinds of 
other things.   

I think the problems happen when the internet service 
providers start doing exclusive deals.   
What if you could pay o2 to use VOIP 
but no one else could unless you paid
them large piles of cash.  I think 
that's what a few providers would like 
to do.  That's where I draw the line.  
My main concern is people think the 
internet is a kind of utopia where 
everyone gets along and just connects 
to each other.  Deals over peering and 
CDN happen every day.
