Yeah, I've had 2 laptops via Novatech (via the net - I think they are
base din portsmouth) and both have been good - they are not
necessarily 100% free software compatible - so my latest has nvidia
optimus and nvidia gforce in it - which have caused linux users
problems in the past, but now have well established (non-free
software).
The other place I have used over the years for a refurbished or end of
line deal has been http://www.europc.co.uk/ - based in Scotland.
Sometimes you can get a good bargain there.
