[Bradford] Stinky room, on-line meetings and publicity

There was some talkat the last meeting about attendance and also on-line meetings.

Here is my view onthis matter. I definitely do not like that meeting room in BCB. Youmay have noticed that whenever I have attended, in person, that Ihave propped open the door to allow some air in. This time the roomstank of sweaty bodies, it had obviously been occupied earlier andthe stink had not moved out due to the terrible lack of ventilation. 




If we want to havemore participants then we need to use one of the establishedplatforms. 'Meetup' is an obvious one and 'Discord' for on-linemeetings. However 'Element' might be a better choice from the FOSSviewpoint. 




I think that themeetings should all be on-line but interspersed with social meetingsat the pub.




As examples: ‘PCPro’ do their podcast live on Discord. ‘Malaga Mobile’ and‘Barcamp Manchester’ also use Discord. ‘IoT North’ use Meetupfor general contact but ‘Youtube’ live video, together with useof text for questions to presenters.




However, if there isa formal move to go on-line AND to get more participants then we allneed to make a special effort to make sure that all our AV is workingcorrectly in advance of the meetings.
