[Chester LUG] Fwd: Major LUG Changes

Oh my Baby Jesus. I thought you were shutting it down completely when I
started reading this! Les, don’t do that to me!!! I’m nearly in tears here!

The Chester LUG will always have a special place in my heart having lead me
to some wonderful people (Stuart, Les, and Dan in particular) and several
jobs. In fact it pretty much spring boarded me into my career (thanks
Stuart) and helped me grow as a person, enabling me to approach problems in
a much more pragmatic manner (Les - thanks a lot). Then there’s Dan and his
podcasts and his never ending entertainment and discussions on all things
tech — thanks mate. Loving the new Twit TV stuff, by the way. Keep it up.

I think this is an excellent move, Les. Linux is almost a household name
these days. I think my mum mentioned it once, and as they say, when your
mum starts giving you stock tips it’s time to sell haha

I wish I could be there for the final meeting. Is anyone in the group rich
enough to buy me a first class return ticket to Manchester? Ha!

I’ve joined up and I’m looking forward to seeing how this group grows under
the mentorship of Les. It’s going to be interesting.

Cheers,

Mike.
(Still nearly in tears on a train at peak hour! )
