Hi Wayland,
Doing a quick search for Minolta DiALTA brings up a multitude of different
versions, so being more specific would be helpful
I think cups that old, version 1.2.7 from what i've found doesn't
automatically find printers, you need to add them through the web interface.
Also http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting is a good a place as any
for knowing if a printer works
