Here are the results fo a quick test i did

512mb ram
nvidia mx 440
Quake 3 1.32 - demo four - 'Fastest' setting

Setup 1

kernel 2.6 test 11 + preempt
kde3.2 running

Setup 2

Windows XP

Results
=====
Setup 1 - 134fps
Setup 2 = 114fps

Setup 1 also beat another machine that was running windows xp, its is an 
athlon 2100, 750ish mb ram but with a mx 420, it got 124 fps
