[cumbria_lug] Broadband and Linux

hi 
I have been trying to set up my talktalk account on SuSE 9.1
I have installed the modem acording to the info on the disc
but I don't know what else to do, I only use MS xp for internet and its a pain having to keep rebooting use to use the .net

I've use linux since RH 5.2 but I AM a user not a GURU

please help
