Thanks Malcolm - always good to have information like that tucked away
in case I need it ;-) In my case, I wanted mp3split to chop up audio
books and LUG Radio into smaller files so that I could listen to them
on the drive to/from work. The commute is about 30 minutes, so I use
it to chop longer files into chunks that fit around that, hence I have
no interest in fading.

Never know when you might need something like that, though.
