What happens when you boot? do you get a lilo or grub menu?

You can wipe your mbr, but that won't really help. Under windows, fdisk
/mbr normally resets it. The best thing to do is try and get into Linux
through a boot floppy or cdrom and reinitialise lilo/grub.
