I have to reinstall windows XP from a recovery disk, which rewrote my hard
drive using a disk image, then fdisk the drive and format to reinstal
windows 2000k. I tried putting my linux disk in as a second drive and
booting from that, but I just get a black screen again.

Looking online I think it may be a driver problem and the Nvidia site has
linux kernals to download.

To be honest am sure its worth the bother to send a few emails etc. Much as
I hate to admit windows is a damn site easier to install.
