I've been using Debian for work (1 x workstation, 8 x servers) & play (2 x
home PC) for about 5 years, I had tried Mandrake and Redhat to begin with but
really like the openness of the Debian project. More recently I've looked at
the nice and shiny ubuntu, but still stick to Debian. It is a pain in the ass
when a release is frozen and your favourite package is locked on an ancient
version, but thats what the testing and unstable (and experimental) releases
are for. Most of the Debian servers I have ran Sarge with couple of packages
from testing in them, so they got the stability of the Stable release plus
some newer software...
When it comes down to it I dont mind waiting for the next new toy if the
servers are going to stay up a lot longer.

I try and squash a few bugs a year and if I had more time(the process looks
like a bitch) I'd try and get a package sponsored and try becoming a proper
Debian Developer.
