[dundee] Trapped emails/login problem

    hi,

       Dear Gordon.

        I think there was on elong email which was not submitted
        as a reply. I have stopped doing that when I realised that it gets trapped.
        It was aslo given a title as I took your advice seriously.
        Lord knows where it is.

        My problem was solved by James Carter and it had sth. to do with the driver that I have
        installed in order to use the full surface of the screen in ubuntu.

        I  have messed with GDM or X ( please tell me if I'm wrong) and I guess he was doing
        the repair through xorg ( config. file ,right ?)

        Unfortunatelly he got a bit carried away and wanted to sort that shrunk display ( not using the
        whole screen). I don't know what he did but I still got the same problem with login.
        I'm sure though that he solved it cause I have seen my desktop yesterday (in his place).
