Doesn't go into details, but can the eeeepc's screen refresh when the
CPU is asleep or switch to non-backlit B&W mode for viewing in sunlight?

The XO is truly a marvel of engineering, e.g wanting to have the thing 
suspend/resume between keystrokes is something else.
