One problem that JANET are having at the moment is that many of the fibre 
links they have linking different MANs run alongside train tracks and are 
being nicked.  The thieves think since its a cable, must be copper and worth 
thieving, only to discover its glass(meanwhile several colleges lose the 
internet...)
