left click the my computer icon

the left mouse button on the mouse

the thing you move the pointer with 

'pointer?'

right, now double click network....

etc etc etc .....

I presume lwith inux you just ask them to use a keyboard ... to type 'ifconfig', 

'what a keyboard they ask'

;-)

on a more serious note, they should be able to contact thier isp for support, and they
should be able to diag thier setup and get a fix, unfortunately bt do not offer this being
more of a IP, rather than an iSp?

Unfortunately, their problem is no Internet access (they cannot connect). I 
think they'll have to find a local PC support company to at least get them 
that.
