On some of the Acer laptops (possibly limited to the Travel Mate
series) there is a function button to do it (Fn + F7). I only found
that out last week and I've had the laptop for about a year now! Its
really handy cause I always end up messing up documents and stuff with
the touch pad enabled :-)
