[dundee] Fwd: society - sfd poster/logo competition

Robert,

two questions or points concerning the competition:

- We might want to allow or encourage entrants submit in SVG
(inkscape) and possibly scribus (for the poster competition) file
formats.
- I'm guessing we need to have a position on copyright.  Personally I
think something like the following seems sane:

"The designer will retain copyright on their contribution, but entries
will only be accepted if they agree to also license their work under a
Creative Commons Share Alike with Attribution license"

What do you think?

You might also want to state the position regarding file-away's logo.
For example can posters include file-aways logo?  If so you might want
to declare a stance on its use... i.e. all rights reserved... though
for the purposes of the competition (providing the logo) remains
largely untouched you'd be willing to claim it as fair use.

It's great to see you sponsoring the society in this manner!!
