[dundee] SATA Controller Card Recommendations Anyone?

Hello,
Is it a PCI-E or PCI(-X) card that you are looking for?
I managed to find a batch of 10 3ware cards that work well on Linux for use in older PCI-X hardware. I can dig out info if you like.
PCI-E: I think a jmicron chipset card might work well for you. They're relatively inexpensive on ebuyer.com (look for Startech brand)

3ware spring to mind. We have an 8 port (internal) one here running
software RAID 5 with 2 hot spare.

nfs 2.3T 358G 1.9T 16% /home/andrew
That's been running a few years (yeah, it's a small office).
Probably more than you'd want to spend though. Maybe find one on ebay...
