[dundee] Hardware for a firewall/content filter

I looked at the sheevaplug a while ago and supposedly they have some problems with overheating.

I get the feeling that Colin wants a setup and forget about it solution, not a periodically let it cool down and reboot solution. Would love to replace some of my machines with plug computers but do not want to give up on the reliability of larger boxen or have to jump through too many setup hoops configuring custom kernels &c. Anybody actually have a plug computer who can comment?
