[dundee] How well do you know the GPL

With the recent conversation this week about the GPL it has been suggested, by me in this case, that it would be useful to have a talk on open source licenses, their key differences and some pointers for people planning to release their own code.

So I'm putting out the call: is there anyone in our group who feels they would like to step up to the plate? There's no need to be a lawyer, but someone who can explain it simply is always appreciated.

If you think this is something you would like to do then drop me a line and we can get the details sorted out - chairman at thesoftwaresociety.org.uk

On a related point, if there are any talks people would like to hear then why not put them forward in our new mailbox:

whataboutthis at thesoftwaresociety.org.uk

(don't worry, suggesting an idea doesn't mean we'll make you do the talk!) as an aside, if there is a talk you feel you could give then drop us your idea as well - new talks (and speakers) are always welcome.

And as always...
If you have been, thanks for reading
